All you need is your Java equipped mobile phone and a data transmission plan. Simply use your Java equipped mobile phone to visit http://www.jnomad.com to download Nomad OnBoard to your mobile phone. The Nomad OnBoard application will automatically save to your phone memory. Then, you simply open it, select the bus, train and tram timetables you want to download to your phone and you’ll be in the know with Nomad OnBoard! How much will it cost? Nomad OnBoard is FREE for Adelaide Metro customers to use! Accessing the timetable information once it’s in your phone is also cost free! However, your service provider will charge you the cost of a data call to download the application and for any updates or new timetables. NOMAD ONBOARD UPDATES |
Downloading Nomad OnBoard timetables Once you have downloaded the Nomad OnBoard application to your Java equipped mobile phone, simply follow the screens on your right to download timetables to your phone. Use keypad number 9 or the soft key to continue to the next screen. When you get to screen 6, pressing Keypad 9 or Continue will return you to screen 4 where you can choose to download more timetables. Or simply proceed to the Home screen to view your timetables.

SCREEN 1 “Home” Tab: Nomad OnBoard will always open to this screen, with the selected Timetable and the Departure and Arrival points listed. Keypad 1 will give you a list of your downloaded timetables to choose from. Keypad 3 or 4 will provide a list of available stops/stations for you to choose from, for both arrival and departure locations. When you close Nomad OnBoard it will always “remember” your last settings upon reopening. SCREEN 2a “Times” Tab: Use the Left/Right Navigation Button to move to this Tab. This screen lists the next series of departures from your chosen stop/station with the arrival time at your chosen destination. By pressing Keypad 7 (in this instance) you will see the next 5 services and so on for up to 24 hours ahead. Nomad OnBoard will automatically show you day changes and it also takes into account weekends and public holidays. NOMAD ONBOARD UPDATES: SCREEN 3 “Info” Tab: Use the Left/Right Navigation Button to move to this Tab. This screen will show you the full schedule of your chosen service. Your two stops/stations will be in bold. An arrow will point at the stop/station your service is approaching. If it has already left your departure station, it will be shown in an font on the “Times” Tab. This will also show whether your service is an express as it only shows stations your service will stop at. REMEMBER: Use the 0 key at any time to bring up HELP for that particular screen.

Using a different bus, train or tram service Sometimes you might have to use a different bus, train or the tram. Don’t worry, with Nomad OnBoard you can download as many timetables as your phone memory will allow. You can add timetables for the cost of a data call and then just select the timetable you require. |
Attention Nomads OnTrack users If you travel on the train or tram and have Nomads OnTrack installed on your Java equipped mobile phone you will have to upgrade to the new version. See the “How do I download Nomad OnBoard” section to upgrade your version. Nomads OnTrack users should delete the old version before upgrading to ensure there is enough free memory on their phone. |
